House Concerts Done Right!
We are back!
After I canceled all of our shows in June and July due to my spine issues I thought that MNOJ would be dark this summer. Surprise! I am still limited physically, but my Iowan friend River Glen reached out and offered to do all of the hard work if we could host him and Megan Bee. Done deal. I can't wait to see everyone here for this Music Party.
Yinz know how this goes: Parking starts at 7, music @ 8. BYOE (everything - beverages, snacks, chairs, etc. ). Supervised and attentive kids attend free along with their adults. I will send out more information in an email to all pre-registered attendees closer to the date of the event.
River Glen is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who promotes and creates a sense of real human connection through his live performances and original music, through songs that anabolize the Anthropocene. Born-at-home and homeschooled near Dubuque, IA, River's playful brand of poignant folk-pop features lyricism that is evocative, intellectual, heart-centered, and cleverly rhythmic. Singing with powerful, dexterous vocals, River is a festival child turned musical storyteller, a natural entertainer. When performing in and around Iowa, River is often backed by his full band, whereas his solo performances tend to tastefully utilize a looper pedal to incorporate his chops on guitar, mandolin, and violin. A former Iowa Arts Council Fellow and a former Iowa Public Radio Artist of the Month, River has shared the stage with or opened for artists that range from his own mother to more widely known acts such as REO Speedwagon. In June of 2026, River & His Band performed three of their songs while backed by the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, a collaboration that is slated to continue in 2027. At this very moment, it's likely that River's driving to his next gig. Follow River's art and adventures across social media @riverglenmusic and at www.riverglenmusic.com

Over the past decade, she has toured relentlessly by minivan, connecting with audiences through personal stories, road tales, nature facts, and light-hearted humor. With albums like Cottonwood and Waiting, she has received acclaim from Americana UK, No Depression Magazine, and The USA Songwriting Competition.
