River's original music is lyrically-driven and blends elements of folk, pop, rock, blues, and hip-hop. His performances are extremely upbeat, engaging, and appeal to listeners of all ages. Before immigrating to Canada (hi, Durham!) River was named an Iowa Arts Council Fellow for his original music.
